Ohio's IT Alliance (OhioITA) recently conducted a survey to determine the impact of GSA Contract Requirements on IT Services companies that are also listed on Ohio's State Term Schedule. From the Dayton Daily News - In an unusual move for a privately held corporation, a Dayton-based data management and analytics company has begun to give gifts of equity to Springfield and Dayton area educational and non-profit organizations.
 
Qbase, with area offices in Beavercreek and Springfield, Ohio, announced Monday, March 10, its board members will donate a total of $1.4 million in stock, or about seven percent of the company's currently outstanding shares. All recipients will become voting shareholders.

OhioITA's mission is to be an advocate for the IT Industry in Ohio and make it more competitive. One of the issues confronting Ohio's IT Industry is Workforce Development and its ability to grow, attract and retain IT talent in Ohio to fuel the growing resource demands of the IT industry. Several suggestions made in Bill Gates' testimony are important to addressing the issue of IT Workforce Development in Ohio.

YOUR COMPANY MAY LOSE ITS STATE OF OHIO TERM SCHEDULE (STS)
 
You may be impacted if your company holds an Ohio State Term Schedule for IT services; that contract requires you to maintain a GSA contract. Of importance to you are the federal performance clauses that must be achieved to maintain that GSA, and failure to do so may threaten your ability to maintain your STS contractor status.
